Hovingham Hall - Woodland Management

The Hovingham Estate has a very long tradition of forest management and the Estate’s woodlands, which have won many awards for forestry and conservation, play an important part in shaping the beautiful landscape that has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Management of Woodland outside the Estate is an important part of the forestry business. Many private Estates do not have the economies of scale to justify full time forestry staff and we can often unlock significant reserves of timber. We can advise on all areas of Woodland Management, in particular on the new English Woodland Grant Scheme, establishment, harvesting and marketing and tree surveys.
